A straight arm (also called a face-out) extends horizontally from the slatwall at a fixed angle and is used to display merchandise hung on hangers or rings facing the customer. A waterfall arm has a stepped or cascading profile that drops down in increments, allowing multiple hanging items to be displayed at slightly different depths — improving product visibility and accessibility. Waterfalls are standard in apparel and accessories retail.
